I am Thankful For...

We don't recognize this world enough these days. We always like to get on with our lives and forget the things we take for granted. Unfortunately, we should do just the opposite.  While we should care about the things we DO take for granted, like friends, family and music, we instead care about the things we DON'T take for granted, like money, TV and [possibly] junk food.  This leads to an unhealthy world, both physically and psychologically.

In order to get us back on the right track, we need to think of the things we should be thankful for. I have in this blog. I suggest you do, as well.

I also connected to a website that can teach you the things that aren't easily things that you can be thankful for, but should be.  I hope you like it.  http://www.silentinsight.com/silent-insight-daily-catholi/daily-meditation-be-thankful.html

Below is a poem I wrote expressing the things that have light in my life.

Oh, and please post a comment on my blog if you would be so kind.

Evan.

If I Were in Charge of the World

I'm back!  I have just finished my version of "If I Were in Charge of the World" by Judith Viorst. It's a popular poem.  You can make many different versions of it online.  If you like my poem, write a comment, please!  I want to know how you like my work (not just my mom)!!  Enjoy.

Simple Poems

I have recently learned how to work computers so that I can use word processing techniques.  For this assignment, I had to write simple poem formats.  They are Haiku, Tanka, Cinquain, and Limerick.  Haiku is my favorite because it has a nice sound when you say it.  Limerick is fun because it goes with a simple example of poems, and is funny!  Tanka is basically the same as Haiku, but is a bit different.  Cinquain, well, isn't exactly explainable, because it's a bit different.

I hope you like them!
